Our mission is to bring Africa and Spain closer
Through outreach, educational, economic, and cultural activities, we foster mutual understanding and strengthen Hispanic African relations.
The main objective of the AFRICANTECH project is to improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises, both in the Canary Islands and Africa, strengthening their capacities in terms of innovation and digitalisation, as well as contributing to the economic, social and institutional development of both regions.
The development of the project aims to achieve the following specific objectives:
All of this with a cross-cutting approach based on the principles of sustainability, equal opportunities and the contribution to the SDGs established by the United Nations.
The initiative gives continuity to the activities carried out in recent years by the ConfiÁfri consortium on internationalisation, covering new territories such as Ghana and Ivory Coast, recently integrated in the INTERREG MAC 2021-2027 cooperation programme; as well as providing new objectives, based on the new global reality that requires both the business sector and society to strengthen their capacities in innovation, digitisation and new technologies.
