Cheikh Lô joins the list of performers for WOMAD 2010 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

With this latest addition, there is now a total of 32 artists that make up the line-up of the next edition of WOMAD in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The Organisation of WOMAD Festivals in Spain and the City Government of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria are preparing the final details for the next edition of the Festival WOMAD Festival, which will take place next week between the 11th and the 14th of November at the centric Santa Catalina Park in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The latest news is Casa África´s contribution of Cheikh Lô, who will perform on Sunday, November the 14th, at 11:30 pm at the Santa Catalina Stage. The African musician joins the list of WOMAD performers, which has a total of 32 artists from all over the world. This annual meeting of music, arts and dance from all over the world would not be complete without one of the greatest musical wonders from Africa--the Senegalese sufi troubadour Cheikh Lo.
