The Director General of Casa África presents the opportunities and risks of the African continent at the Foreign Markets Forum

Luis Padrón, Director General of Casa África, participated yesterday in the Foreign Markets Forum organized by EXTENDA (the Foreign Trade Promotion Agency of Andalusia) and APD (Association for Management Progress) in Seville, with a presentation on the political, social and economic reality of sub-Saharan Africa. The speech given to business people and managers by the head of Casa África opened this conference, called sub-Saharan Africa, opportunities and risks of an undiscovered continent. The meeting was supported by organisations including the CESCE and by Casa África itself.

Padrón commented on the high growth potential of many production sectors, both industrial and service-based, in much of Africa and supported his dissertation with the latest report African Economic Outlook, which forecasts that African growth is more diversified thanks to internal demand, infrastructure and trade in manufactured goods. He also said that doing business in Africa is increasingly easy and safe thanks to the legislative reforms undertaken by most African countries and he noted that Spanish companies cannot and should not miss out on the favourable business climate that is being generated in many African countries.
