A festival of reference in the neighbouring continent, FESPACO celebrates its twenty second edition in Ouagadougou through March 5th, and includes an event about the distribution of African film productions in Spain: the FCAT, Cinenómada and Casa África.
The Provincial Council of A Coruña, Casa África and the Caixa Galicia Foundation have once again collaborated on organising this African film season through the Cinenómada programme.
During the months of February and March, the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León (MUSAC) will host the Proximidades y distancias: entre la realidad y el deseo (Proximities and Distances: Between Reality and Desire) African film season by the hand of the Cinenómada project.

Starting today, the festival will visit various schools in Malabo, and for the first time, spaces like the National Library, aside from recovering the historic Cine Marfil cinema, which has not shown a single film in 20 years.
Established in 2010 by the Spanish Cultural Centres of Malabo and Bata, and organised by the Tarifa African Film Festival and Casa África, the festival will hold its second edition from February 1st to 13th.

Casa África presents Cinematographies of Africa. A Meeting with its Protagonists, a work of reference written by Guadalupe Arensburg that includes a DVD with interviews of the most important African producers.
Casa África has scheduled a film season for the festival with the top films from the latest edition of the Tarifa African Film Festival.
