Our mission is to bring Africa and Spain closer
Through outreach, educational, economic, and cultural activities, we foster mutual understanding and strengthen Hispanic African relations.
Casa Africa collaborates for the third consecutive year, in the organisation of this meeting promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Fuerteventura and in which the Canary Islands Government (through Proexca and the Technological Institute of the Canary Islands, ITC), the Cabildo of Fuerteventura and the Ricam cluster also take part.
Africagua Canarias is a meeting point for international business whose main theme is alternative energies associated with water. During the event, round tables, presentations and the exhibition of case studies of Spanish companies will take place.
Africagua Canarias' main aim is to report on the opportunities presented by the African continent to carry out projects associated to water, as well as putting into contact companies from different areas, showing the potential of the Canary Islands experience in this matter. Africagua Canarias hopes to be a event that will be a reference in alternative energy sources associated to water, where not only companies from different parts of the archipelago will attend but also those from all over the world.
Africagua Islands 2013 will be held on 7th and 8th November 2013 and this year will again feature those in charge of international organisations like the World Bank, United Nations and the African Development Bank who carry out projects in these sectors in Africa.
In addition, as part of Africagua 2013 a publication called Renewable Energies in West Africa will be presented; Casa África has developed this jointly with the Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency of ECOWAS (ECREEE) and ITC, with funding from the AECID .
Attendance at Africagua 2013 requires pre-registration
