Our mission is to bring Africa and Spain closer
Through outreach, educational, economic, and cultural activities, we foster mutual understanding and strengthen Hispanic African relations.
This training course in methodological techniques for socio-cultural animation form part of the "Jóvenes con África - Gran Canaria 2011" inter-cultural awareness project that was started by Casa África as part of the 2011 África Vive initiative.
The main idea is to train a group of Africans in socio-cultural animation techniques so that they in turn will work directly with schools in an effort to increase awareness through activities and workshops that are carried out directly with students.
The primary objective of the project is to increase awareness in the educational community about interests and knowledge of Africa, involving it in the África Vive initiative that was started two years ago by Casa África, and especially in the Fiesta África Vive, which will take place in May 2011. The aim is to tie African artistic and cultural resources in the process of increasing awareness in the educational community.
The awareness project in which Africans are invited to participate is divided into two parts:
1. Training Africans.
2. Workshops/sessions taught by Africans for students from primary and secondary educational centres and the Fiesta África Vive that will take place in May.
