Gira Vis a Vis 2015

Vis a Vis is the Professional Meeting between Spanish cultural promoters and African musicians that Casa África has held for six years in the neighbouring continent and which among its objectives, is to ensure a greater presence of African music on Spanish stages. This is what this tour seeks, which is now started by the two winning groups of the 2015 edition of this event, Aida Samb and Noumoucounda Cissoko, visiting different Spanish cities and playing in the festivals that participate in the programme.

After five editions (Senegal, Cape Verde, Ethiopia and South Africa)and Tanzania) vis a vis establishes itself as a well-known and respected professional venue in Spain and Africa. This Casa África project has finally become a powerful tool for the dissemination of African music in our country.

Vis a vis 2015 returned to its origins and was held again in Dakar, Senegal, which is an inexhaustible source of musical talent and birthplace of great representatives of African music in the world. The winners of this meeting were the wonderful voice of Aida Samb and the sublime mastery of the kora from Noumoucounda Cissoko.

They are both now starting this summer tour with a programme planned for July which is:

• 9th - MADRID - AFRICA VIVE- Noumoucounda Cissoko in the Cultura Inquieta Festival
• 11th - JAÉN - Noumoucounda Cissoko in the Imagina Funk Festival
• 16th - CÁDIZ - Noumoucounda Cissoko in the Al Rumbo Festival
• 17th - JAÉN - Noumoucounda Cissoko and Aida Samb in the Etnosur Festival
• 18th - CARTAGENA - Noumoucounda Cissoko in the La Mar de Músicas Festival
• 19th - BILBAO - Aida Samb at 21:00h at AzkunaZentroa (AlhondigaBilbao)
• 22nd - HUESCA - Noumoucounda Cissoko and Aida Samb in the Pirineos Sur Festival
• 23rd - CARTAGENA - Aida Samb in the La Mar de Músicas Festival
• 24th - TENERIFE - Aida Samb in the MUMES Festival
