INVESTOUR 2012
Casa África once again collaborates with IFEMA, the Trade Fair of Madrid, to set up what will be the 3rd edition of INVESTOUR, the encounter between African and Spanish companies in the tourist sector. It will be on 19th January 2012, as part of FITUR, the International Tourism Fair that is organised every year in Madrid. Spanish tourist companies interested in taking part in these professional seminars should present their formal request for participation before the 15th November 2011.
This meeting, which is set up by FITUR in collaboration with the World Tourism Organisation (WTO) and Casa África, has a main objective of encouraging the encounter between the African tourist market and potential Spanish members and investors, to promote a sustainable tourism model that will serve as a development model.
During the 2011 edition of INVESTOUR the guest region was South Africa, represented by the regional bloc SADC. This time it will be countries belonging to the geographical areas of Eastern and Central Africa who are invited to show the potential of their territories and their tourist projects. They will be represented by:
- the regional bloc EAC - East African Community- which covers Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, the Republic of Ruanda and that of Burundi
- CEMAC- Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa - which covers Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea and Chad.
