INVESTOUR 2014. V Foro de Inversiones y Negocios Turísticos en África

Next 23rd January 2014 the fifth edition of Tourist Investment Forum and Business in Africa will take place (INVESTOUR in Madrid. The event, organised as part of FITUR is an annual platform where African, Spanish and Portuguese companies will have the opportunity to discuss new business opportunities and cooperation.

 As in previous years, the Forum is an initiative promoted by the World Tourism Organisation (WTO), FITUR and Casa África in order to promote sustainable tourism in Africa by providing a platform to facilitate dialogue on new business opportunities and cooperation between representatives of African tourism and potential Spanish and Portuguese investors.

Investour holds two sessions in a day:

• In the morning a technical session will be organised on tourism in Africa and its relationship with Spain and Portugal, with the participation of high ranking representatives from the public and private sector of Africa and the Iberian peninsula.
• In the afternoon, a Business to Business (B2B) meeting will be held, business meetings between companies and African institutions and potential Spanish and Portuguese partners and investors, with a previously closed meeting agenda.

To be able to take part in this new edition of INVESTOUR it is essential to register on line before the 6th December 2013. The registration fee is 100 euros.

INVESTOUR works in areas such as:

• Funding and investment of tourism projects.
• Promotion and representation of destinations in the Spanish outbound market.
• Creation and improvement of hotel premises (not equipment).
• Ecotourism operations in national parks and protected areas.
• Promotion of wild life tourism; safaris, etc.
• Promotion of cultural tourism.
• Transfer of technology and know how in the hotel industry and tourism.
• Infrastructures and transport.
