Our mission is to bring Africa and Spain closer
Through outreach, educational, economic, and cultural activities, we foster mutual understanding and strengthen Hispanic African relations.
Casa Africa will be the venue for the launch of "3052",by Mamadou Dia. It is an initiative undertaken in collaboration with the Federation of African Associations in the Canary Islands (FAAC) and Looking for Development Advisers and Consultants, a company dedicated to cultural management related to Africa.
3052 are the kilometres that separate Senegal, the country where Mamadou was born, from Murcia, the town that took him in and has provided him with the accent for the Spanish he has learned since his arrival. That is why "3052" is the title of this autobiography in which Dia recounts his experience since coming to the Island of La Gomera until his return to his native Senegal. It is a testament of the personal triumph that emigration represents and its impact at personal and group level.
The book presentation will take place on 17th November 2014 at 7: 00p.m. at the Nelson Mandela Auditorium in Casa África (C / Alfonso XIII 5. 35003 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria). Free admission
