Our mission is to bring Africa and Spain closer
Through outreach, educational, economic, and cultural activities, we foster mutual understanding and strengthen Hispanic African relations.
Casa África's mission on Communication can be summarised in a simple sentence: to achieve that the Spanish media speak more and better about Africa.
Given the agreement in the objectives, Casa África and the Institute for Preventative Journalism and International Analysis (IPPAI) organise this round table which will be hosted in the conference hall (New Building) at the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Universidad Complutense of Madrid on Tuesday, 13th December, at 18.00.
Ricardo Martínez Vázquez, Casa África's General Director and the journalists Hortense Yawa Djomeda, Jean-Arsène Yao, Zeïneb Toumi and Javier Bernabé Fraguas, from Preventative Journalism will be there.
The ceremony will include the presentation of the African Notebook Si hablas de nosotros..., edited by Casa África with texts from eleven African journalists on the communication that is made about Africa in the western media together with proposals to do away with stereotypes that continue to dominate information about the continent.
